Lisa W. Wang, Judge, United States Court of International Trade, appointed by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. on February 7, 2024.
Judge Lisa Wang began her career at a private law firm and later served as the Senior Import Administration Officer for the Department of Commerce at the U.S. Embassy in China. She then served as an Assistant General Counsel for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), and in the Office of the General Counsel within the Department of Commerce before becoming a partner at a private law firm where she specialized in trade policy issues and international trade law litigation. Judge Wang served as the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Enforcement and Compliance from 2022 to 2024, during which she led the International Trade Administration’s efforts to support economic growth by maintaining a fair and rules-based system of international trade enforcement. She also was the Department of Commerce’s delegate on the Interagency Working Group for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. In this role, Judge Wang supported the Administration’s whole-of-government agenda to advance equity, justice, and opportunity for AA and NHPI communities.
Judge Wang received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center.
